Old Man Winter has finally packed his bags and returned from whence he came. The surveyors at HowellKline are glad to have him gone. When the ground is buried under ice and snow, like we had this past winter, the task of land surveying becomes problematic to say the least. But now the daffodils, and hyacinths are up, the forsythia are in full bloom and the trees are beginning to green up, and the demand for surveying services seems to be springing back to life. I think maybe the extended white-out gave people ample time to sit by the window and dream of projects to undertake during the warmer months.
We at HowellKline Surveying can help play a role in some of those projects. For instance, are you planning to remove those trees damaged by the winter storms, or do some landscaping to spruce up the yard? It might be prudent to have the property lines surveyed and staked in the vicinity of the tree work. Maybe you would like to add an addition onto your house? Do you have room to build the addition and comply with the required zoning setbacks? What about building and lot coverage? We at HowellKline Surveying can survey your property and prepare a detailed plat of your property that can answer those types of questions and be used to help you make informed decisions about your options. Are you planning to put up a fence? Some municipalities have regulations concerning fence placement and property lines. Wouldn’t it be a shame if your new fence had to be moved because it wasn’t on your property?
Experience has taught us that good information early on in the planning and design process of any anticipated project saves time, energy, resources and headaches as the project unfolds. Let our experience with land surveying assist you on your next project. And be sure to get out and enjoy this beautiful Spring!
Thanks, Richard Kline, PLS
